Christ, clothed in white and crimson robes which shine with the white light of eternity and are stained from “the winepress of our Redemption,” looks down on us in gentle compassion.

His right hand draws our eyes to his Sacred Heart, wounded with love for us. In His other hand He holds the Book of Life, wherein are inscribed the names of the elect.

At his feet are two figures significant to any Catholic: priest and child. They remind the viewer that Heaven is achieved by those who become little children; also, we have access to the Blood of Christ through the ministry of His priests.

Finally, inscribed on the back of the statue are words from Acts 17:27, where it is written that men have been placed on the earth “[to] seek God, if happily they may feel after Him or find Him, although He be not far from every one of us”—Non longe est ab unoquoque nostrum.

This statue stands 13 inches high and is made of the highest quality gypsum.
